Welcome to July! We're starting the month off strong with an influx of fresh dining options, including an internationally inspired cocktail bar, a new lesbian bar, and a Japanese bakery. You'll find out about all of those and more, plus an upcoming vegan French taco restaurant and cookie butter cup doughnuts, below. For more ideas, check out our food and drink guide.

NEW OPENINGS AND RETURNS

CereusPDX Add to a List
A new cocktail lounge called CereusPDX aims to flip the script on tiki culture. Along with co-owner Phil Chung, nationally recognized bartender Bradley Thomas Stephens is taking inspiration from the escapist ethos of tiki—minus the colonialist overtones and aesthetic. The menu features cocktails with international influences, as well as South American tapas from chef Diego Cortes.

The opening weekend festivities include a DJ and dance party, karaoke, and a debut Queens, Queers and Quiche Add to a List drag brunch, which will feature a mimosa special created in collaboration with Chambord and will raise funds for the Black Resilience Fund. FUTURE OPENINGS

Le Tacos Add to a List
Jewan Manuel of Plant Based Papi Add to a List has something new up his sleeve: After learning about the phenomenon of "French tacos" (a popular French fast food dish consisting of a flour tortilla grilled and folded around French fries, cheese, meat, and other fillings) in a viral New Yorker article, the chef set out to create a vegan take and will open a shop serving them in a TBD location in Northwest Portland by the end of the summer. Fillings will include fries or cauliflower, vegan cheese, house-made vegan meats, and sauces.

Living Häus Beer Company Add to a List
This brewery is set to take over the former Modern Times Add to a List space on July 15, with a lineup of West Coast and hazy IPAs, a Munich-style helles, and an unfiltered Pilsner. Afuri (which has a location next door) and Tanaka Add to a List will provide the food menu.
