Amy's Merkato Ethiopian & Eritrean Restaurant and Deli Add to a List
While not a dedicated vegan restaurant, this Ethiopian and Eritrean food destination in Hillman City offers an array of satisfying vegetarian and vegan specialties, including vegan foul, falafel wraps, veggie sandwiches, and shiro wat (a stew made with chickpeas, onions, tomato, garlic, olive oil, and an Eritrean spice blend).

Last fall, the hip, ever-reliable Vietnamese chain Ba Bar launched this all-vegan takeout window concept called Ba Bar Green in its South Lake Union location Add to a List . The menu features plant-based dishes like kabocha and sweet potato Malay laksa, Lao crispy rice and quinoa salad, lemongrass tofu Singapore noodles, dan dan noodles, Soyrizo bánh mì, braised tofu, tamarind soup, miso eggplant, and chilled tofu with mustard greens.

Broadfork Cafe
This local vegan and vegetarian chain has a menu developed by chef Lois Rivera (who worked for the now-closed Chaco Canyon Cafe for 13 years), with wholesome dishes like veggie burgers, grain bowls, avocado toast, hummus wraps, and artichoke melts.

The airy, plant-filled Cafe Flora has been a vegetarian haven for over 30 years, with locally sourced dishes like Oaxacan tacos, seasonal grain bowls, and wild mushroom and fennel risotto, and many dishes are vegan and clearly marked as such on the menu, or can be made vegan with modifications. The restaurant also operates two offshoots: Floret, a cafe inside SeaTac, and Flora Bakehouse, a cozy bakery on Beacon Hill.

Cycle Dogs Add to a List  
The popular vegan food truck Cycle Dogs, known for its meatless hot dogs and other plant-based takes on fast food favorites, opened its first permanent brick-and-mortar restaurant last spring. The all-vegan menu includes Field Roast frankfurters with variations like currywurst, Seattle dogs, and elote dogs, burgers inspired by McDonald's, Whataburger, and Dick's, and "hangry style" fries smothered in American cheese, grilled onions, and fry sauce.

Georgetown Liquor Company Add to a List  
In December 2020, Highline Add to a List owner Alan Threewit saved the beloved Georgetown dive, treasured for its strong booze, vegan/vegetarian menu, gritty atmosphere, and warm staff, from extinction and updated it with a renovation and a new all-vegan menu, featuring plant-based French dips, Reuben sandwiches, and other comfort food. There's also a menu of punk-inspired cocktails, like the "Electric Wizard" (cucumber mint gin with muddled lime, Aperol liqueur, and soda served on the rocks) and the "Reign in Blood" (a bloody Mary with garlic-basil-peppercorn vodka and a housemade bloody mix).

The lineup includes Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting (carrot juice ice cream with spiced carrot walnut cake chunks and cream cheese frosting), Petunia's Rainbow Sprinkled Babycakes (vanilla oat ice cream with sprinkles, strawberry jam, and pieces of birthday cake cupcakes from the vegan Portland bakeshop Petunia's Pies and Pastries Add to a List ), Coconut Cream Pie with Lemon Curd (coconut ice cream with toasted coconut cupcake pieces and lemon curd swirls), Chocolate Hazelnut Cupcake (chocolate ice cream with roasted Oregon hazelnuts and pieces of vanilla cupcakes with chocolate ganache), and Renewal Mill's Chocolate Salted Caramel Cupcake (fleur de sel-spiked oat ice cream with dark chocolate cupcakes and salted caramel frosting, made in collaboration with the climate-friendly baking company Renewal Mill).
