"A Summer Celebration of New Music in Portland's Leach Botanical Garden.

Gate opens at 4pm when guests may explore the garden grounds and experience an electronic sound installation by Daniel Brugh, Mei-ling Lee, Timothy Arliss O’Brien, Jennifer Wright, and Nicholas Yandell.

The music begins at 5 pm, with performances at different locations around the garden. Sets will be repeated so that guests may experience the music at each of the locations in any order they choose.

The program will include works of Cascadia Composers: Adrienne Albert, William Ashworth, Daria Baiocchi, David S. Bernstein, John G. Bilotta, Antonio Celaya, Ted Clifford, Ken Davies, David Jones, Lisa Ann Marsh, Jan Mittelstaedt, Carolyn Quick, Christina Rusnak, Greg A Steinke, Tomas Svoboda, and Linda Woody.

Featured musicians include the Rose City Brass Quintet (Logan Thane Brown, Lars Campbell, JáTtik Clark, Joseph Klause, and Daniel Partridge), Justin Bulava, Dunja Jennings Marcum (clarinet), Daniel Partridge (horn), and Brett EE Paschal, Wanyue Ye, and Davi Martinelli de Lira (percussion).

Guests are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and may pack in a picnic to enjoy on the garden grounds. Alcoholic beverages may not be brought onto the grounds, but beer and wine will be sold on-site." (Promo Copy)
