"To begin its 70th anniversary season Lakewood Theatre Company will be presenting the world premiere of THE KISS, an outrageously original fun musical comedy for theatre audiences of all ages. Directed by Greg Tamblyn, the production will continue through August 21, 2022, on the Headlee Mainstage at Lakewood Theatre Company. 

The Story: When Arro (Keaton Fields), a self-proclaimed “Handsome Hero” is transformed into a frog by Gladys, a malevolent witch (Emily Sahler), he finds himself with more than just an image problem. On a quest to regain his rightful size, he’s aided by Granny a motherly Raccoon (Melissa Standley); Benny, a cantankerous Beaver (Eric Zulu); and Sheldon, a sensitive Snail (Troy Sawyer). Meanwhile, a vengeful Witch has her own plans for the kingdom as her rattish Knight (Colin Carver) wins Princess Ember’s (Sophie MacKay) hand in marriage. Forced to look deeper than they ever have before, and with only three days left until she’ll be married, and he’ll be a frog forever, Arro and Ember must discover what it means to truly love. Will love conquer all? One thing is certain, all will be transformed by THE KISS.

Other players in the talented cast include Doug Webster, Quinn Boyd, Amanda Mills, Blythe Woodland, Joey Klei, Austyn Stone, Jeremey Garfinkel, Robert Altieri, Amy Lichtenstein, Emily Anderson, and Tasha Danner.
